‘For me, the Q7 MKII has transformed the listening experience, perhaps to an even greater degree than living with the original Q7 did’ – R. Harley, The Absolute Sound
Overall Product of the Year Award – The Absolute Sound
“Golden Sound” Award – Stereo Sound, Japan
“The MKII version of the Q7 takes the “the Magico sound” in an entirely new and surprising direction. Yet it’s a direction that I believe any music lover will find captivation. The increase in resolution on its own makes the MKII a worthy upgrade… For me, the Q7 MKII has transformed the listening experience, perhaps to an even greater degree than living with the original Q7 did”
– Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound, October, 2015
“The most single, impressive product in any category that I have come across in 23 years of full time reviewing.”

“The Magico Q7 Loudspeakers are without compromise from any possible perspective or listening criteria. They can provide some of the most neutral, detailed, and transparent sound that I have ever heard in my listening room.”
– Robert Youman, positive-feedback.com (read the review)
“The Magico Q7 is currently the best loudspeaker in the world. That statement will upset some, make others question my credibility, inspire someone somewhere to hate Magico, and maybe push a wealthy audiophile or two to buy something else, just to be contrarian. I’m OK with all of that.
From a full-range, low-distortion, massively built, thoroughly engineered package, the Magico Q7 Loudspeaker delivers music with unmatched clarity, resolution, and transparency. In my room, it handled with ease every dynamic challenge I threw at it, tracking the musical signal perfectly, regardless of bandwidth or the abruptness of transients. And with beautiful music, it sounded . . . beautiful.
For right now, we all have to live with these facts: The Q7 is very expensive. It’s very big. It comes only in black. And it’s the best loudspeaker available today.

Magico Q7 MKII Loudspeaker
An all-out assault on the state of the art in loudspeaker design, the Magico Q7 MKII is a four-way system featuring two 12” bass drivers, a 10” mid/bass, 6” midrange, and a beryllium tweeter.
In order to achieve the lofty goals of this project under all operating conditions, each and every driver of the four-way, five-driver Q7 has been designed from the ground up. Effortless to drive, an astounding 94dB efficiency pushes the Magico Q7 Loudspeaker to unimaginable performance levels while maintaining every grain of resolution and nuance. To create such a highly efficient loudspeaker the entire complement required new motor systems backed with exceptionally powerful neodymium magnets, 10 times higher than industry norm. Dual 12-inch bass woofers and a 10-inch midbass bring Nano-Tec® cone technology into our largest Magico-designed drivers to date. Working together, they take resolution and extension through the lower octaves to a new level.
Using Advanced Finite Elements Analysis to study ‘in-box’ driver behavior, the Q-Series construction techniques were redeployed in a configuration more finely tuned to the specific parameters of ‘driver to enclosure’ interaction. Comprised of over 100 parts of aluminum, copper, and stainless steel, all affixed with over 650 fasteners in a calculated labyrinth of internal bracing, the Magico Q7 Loudspeaker provides the ideal combination of mass, dampness and rigidity. A new three-axis matrix frame, copper decoupling levels, and a ‘floating’ midrange cavity yield the most effective multi-faceted strategy of eliminating the cabinet as a secondary acoustic source.
Magico’s elliptical crossover techniques have been employed to create the Q7 4-way filters. Custom ultra-high precision resistors, capacitors and coils were designed to comprise the crossover network. Magico will be demonstrating the Q7 at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.
